Have you heard the old saying "The cobbler's children need new shoes" ? I don't have enough time to make leather goods for myself, so I bought a few things for myself from Blaze because they looked well-made and the price was right.. This review is about the Blaze ponytail holder. I've never seen or even heard of a leather ponytail holder before, so I thought I'd try one on myself. Of all the leather articles that I have made or purchased during the last ten years, this one item made the greatest improvement in my comfort and safety. No matter what I tried in the past, while flying down the road on my motorcycle, my long hair invariably ended up flapping in my face or wrapping around my neck, and the things with which I tied my hair all fell off from the stresses of operating the motorcycle in the wind and from watching left and right for cars. This Blaze leather ponytail holder has completely changed my riding experience. I frankly expected it to fall off during my first ride, just like all the other things I have tried. However, it stayed in place and made unruly hair a thing of the past. The leather is flexible and stretchy, so it conforms to the shape of my hair and clings tightly to my hair all the way up and down, thanks to the seven snaps. For added security, it has a metal loop at the top to which I can affix a lanyard or a tie-cord, but I don't think I will need to use the metal loop. This product has certainly taken some of the hassle out of riding a motorcycle. As for the appearance factor, folks step aside respectfully and let me pass.
